Action Items

On the Action Items subtab, you can view a list of assets that require actions from you in order for Black Duck to start or resume a scan. You might see any of the following types of action items:

  • Missing or invalid credentials

  • Missing assessment schedule

  • Missing codebase

  • Access issues are preventing the site from being scanned—​see Site Access Issues

Working with Action Items

  1. From the Continuous Dynamic Portal menu, click Summary.

  2. Select the Action Items subtab.

  3. The table lists all assets that require action to allow Black Duck to perform a complete scan. You can rearrange the order of listed actions by clicking the Asset Name or Type columns.

  4. To provide missing information, or identify and correct mistaken information, click the Action Item for the asset and issue in question. Once the issue is identified as resolved, scanning will resume as per the scan schedule.

  5. Optionally, filter the table:

    1. Click the Filter button.

    2. Filter by Action Items: select the checkbox beside each individual filter that you wish to use, or select an entire filter group by selecting the corresponding checkbox.

    3. Select the Asset Type and/or enter the Asset Name to filter for a specific Asset.

    4. Click Filter to filter all listed activities by your selected filters.

    5. Click Reset to clear all selected filters.

      Failure to reset the filter means that the filtered results will display the next time that you access the Action Items tab. The filter remains in place after logging out of the Portal and logging back in again. So if you have finished with the filter, use Reset.
  6. Optionally, click Export CSV to export all your action items list to CSV format. Alternatively, you can filter your results first and then export your refined results.
